I’m sure the singers are lovely people, but Mom and Dad hate all of these songs.
How do we get our kids to like better music?

One word: Spotify! And just introduce them to the things you grew up with. I did in my preschool classroom after i replaced fresh beat band with Rammones, Devo, Everclear, and the such.
